SBGames is the main event on game research and development in Latin America. Promoted by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) with the support of the Brazilian Electronic Game Development Companies Association (ABRAGAMES), the symposium brings together students, professors, artists, designers and professionals from several universities, research centers and game industry.
In 2008, the symposium will be held in Belo Horizonte - MG, from November 10th to 12th. The event will be co-organized by the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC Minas) and the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG)!

However, a subtle nonlinear property of almost every device that captures or displays digital images necessitates careful processing of textures and frame buffers to ensure that all this lighting and shading is computed and displayed correctly. Proper gamma correction is probably the easiest, most inexpensive, and most widely applicable technique for improving image quality in real-time applications. This talk is based on the article “The Importance of Being Linear ” written by Larry Gritz e Eugene d’Eon from NVIDIA Corporation to GPU Gems 3.
